Vitacare Dental Centre – Workplace COVID-19 Safety Plan for Patients:

This plan is current as of May 20th, 2020. The protocols presented here are in accordance by recommendations presented by the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia (CDSBC). Note that the CDSBC flows the rules and regulations of that provided by the provincial health officer, BC Centre of Disease and Control, and Worksafe BC.

Staff, dentists and patients are not to enter the clinic if they:

2. Appointments can be made by phone or email. You must have an appointment to enter the clinic. Please arrive on time. If you arrive early, please wait in your vehicle until your designated time to minimize contact with other departing patients.

3. You are to come alone to your appointment. One parent, guardian, or caretaker can accompany a child or person that requires additional assistance to an appointment.

4. When you arrive at the clinic, we will provide you with hand sanitizer, take your temperature and ask you screening questions.

Waiting room:

1. Physical distancing will be in effect. Maintain 2-metre distance between one another.

2. There will be a limited number of people allowed in the waiting room at a given time.

3. Plexiglass barriers will be placed at the front desk.

4. Frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected routinely.

Treatment rooms:

1. Dentists and dental assistants will be wearing enhanced personal protective equipment, which may include face shields, gowns, and respirator masks.

2. You will be asked to rinse with a hydrogen peroxide mouthwash for 30 seconds prior to your treatment.

3. There will be infection protocols requiring more time for disinfection of the rooms in between patients.

4. As always, instruments and equipment are properly sterilized to kill all microorganisms.

See How Teeth Are Prepared for Custom Dental Crowns

A dental crown covers a damaged tooth down to the gum line, much like a cap. We typically remove a small amount of enamel to ensure an optimal fit.

The Benefits of Dental Crowns

Porcelain dental crowns have numerous cosmetic and restorative benefits. Our dentists can discuss even more advantages of getting custom dental crowns during your consultation.

Preserve Your Natural Tooth

Crowns can be an alternative to tooth extraction. Instead of removing a damaged tooth, our dentists can cover it with a permanent crown, which is both better for your dental health and more affordable than implant dentistry.

Long-Lasting Results

If you practice good oral hygiene and regularly visit our office in Coquitlam, BC, for checkups, a single permanent crown can protect a tooth for up to 15 years.

Resembles Natural Tooth Structure

Today's dental crowns use lifelike porcelain that is virtually indistinguishable from your natural teeth. Even temporary crowns from our practice look realistic, which speaks to the great craft and care of modern dentistry.

Making Crowns More Convenient
Putting Our Patients First

Whether you need multiple teeth capped or just a single tooth, our dentists strive to make receiving temporary crowns and permanent crowns as convenient as possible for every patient.

Help with Insurance

The cost of getting crowns and the hassles of insurance keep some patients from getting much-needed dental work. Our staff eases the burden by dealing with insurance providers for you. We will make sure you access every available benefit from your insurance plan.

Thorough Consultations

When you require a crown at our dentistry practice, we will take the time to discuss the treatment with you in detail. We will explain the different crown options we offer, including gold crowns and all-ceramic crowns, and help you decide which approach is best for you.

I had a lot of anxiety around going to the dentist, and after carefully researching for a new local office to attend, I stumbled upon Vitacare and now I can't stop recommending them to friends and family! Never in my life did I think a time would come when I would feel neutral - never mind, happy - about going to the dentist, but I do! Dr. Lee has been lovely in every way and all of the support staff have been so great! 10/10, would recommend.
