Invisalign
In the past, metal braces were the primary treatment for crooked teeth. Today, orthodontic patients have a clear alternative.
Invisalign® uses virtually invisible aligner trays to straighten teeth. Brackets and wires are no longer necessary for a healthy smile.

How Invisalign Works Understanding the Basics

Clear Plastic Aligner Trays
While traditional orthodontics uses brackets and wires, Invisalign uses clear aligners. These custom trays slip right over your teeth, exerting carefully controlled pressure to shift each tooth into ideal position.

Worn 20-22 Hours a Day
For this system to be effective, you must wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours each day. You should only remove your aligners when you eat, drink beverages other than cold water, and brush or floss.

New Aligners Every Two Weeks
You will discard each aligner after wearing it for two weeks. You will then wear the next aligners in the series. The process repeats over the course of a year to 18 months, gradually straightening your smile.
Convenient. Comfortable. Clear. Patients Prefer Invisalign for a Reason

The Benefits of Invisalign
Virtually Invisible
Made from durable, transparent plastic, Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible. Other people won't see the aligners, even up close. Imagine undergoing orthodontic care without anyone noticing.More Comfortable than Braces
The clear plastic aligner trays are custom-designed by advanced computer technology to ensure an optimal fit over your teeth. Better yet, there are no wires or brackets that will scrape or irritate the inside of your mouth.Convenient and Removable
Because Invisalign aligners are easy to remove, you can brush and floss normally during the entire course of treatment. In addition, there are no diet restrictions, so you can continue to enjoy all of your favorite foods.Clear Aligners vs. Braces
Why Straighten Your Teeth?
Perhaps your teeth are crooked, but you're fine with how your smile looks. Why should you bother with orthodontic treatment?
The benefits of properly aligned teeth are more than cosmetic. For example, straight teeth are easier to clean. When teeth are crooked, plaque and bacteria get stuck in areas that you can't reach with a toothbrush, which can lead to infection. Invisalign can shift your teeth into better alignment, so your oral health can be maintained more easily.
Also, a misaligned bite can put improper strain on the jaw muscle, which can lead to TMJ issues and headaches. Fixing the alignment of your smile can optimize the function of your jaw joint.

Real 5-Star Reviews "By Far the Best Dentist I've Had"
Just went to Vitacare for the very first time today. Had a checkup and filling done with Dr. Lee. She is by far the best dentist I've had so far!
Thanks for such a good experience :)
Went for a checkup after 9 months. Despite limited insurance I still feel as i got a full assessment addressing my major concerns. Any questions were answered in detail and the cleaning performed was quite thorough as the dentist Alex Wong did the cleaning himself.

You should brush at least twice a day and floss once a night. This prevents cavities, gum disease, and bad breath. Ideally, you should brush and floss after every meal before putting the aligners back on.Cleaning Your Aligners
The aligner trays can be cleaned easily using a non-abrasive toothpaste and a soft-bristled toothbrush. You should always rinse your aligners with clean cold water before putting them back in your mouth.Regular Dental Checkups

"Best dental office I have ever attended." Why Patients Visit Our Coquitlam Dental Team
I started visiting the clinic about a year and a half ago, and I can comfortably say that I no longer dread going to the dentist. Dr. Wong and all of the staff members are friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to respond! When I had a major surgery, the dental assistant made sure I was comfortable by giving me access to Netflix and a blanket; and the ladies at the front desk guided me through the insurance process and even called to check in a few days later. All of my experiences have been positive, from getting my wisdom teeth removed, to my regular cleanings, to now getting Invisalign, and I have recommended this place to many of my family and friends.

Beautiful, modern dental office with superb equipment! The staff (including doctors, assistants, receptionist, etc..), are amazing - very helpful and extremely friendly. Never before I've had such a thorough examination on a first visit.
Since then I've had multiple cleanings, tooth extractions and new dentures. Every time, Dr. Lee spends extra time making sure I am comfortable, always explaining, never rushing. This is for sure the best dental office I have ever attended.
The Cost Of Invisalign Treatment
/
Each patient is unique, and their needs are the most important factor in the final price of their Invisalign treatment. In the Coquitlam area, the cost of Invisalign ranges from $4,000 to $8,000. Insurance may cover a portion of it, and we will be glad to confirm this with your provider.

Common Invisalign Questions
Is Invisalign Painful?
It doesn't involve any significant pain. While this process may involve some minor soreness or discomfort at the onset of treatment or when you begin wearing a new aligner, your dentist can talk to you about how to best alleviate any tenderness. Considering this treatment doesn't involve any brackets or wires that can irritate the soft tissues of your mouth, it is far more comfortable than braces.
Is Invisalign Permanent?
Though Invisalign can bring a long-lasting transformation to your smile, you will need to take care to maintain your results. Just like treatment with metal braces, you will need to wear a simple retainer each night once you have completed your Invisalign treatment.
Do I Need to Keep My Old Aligners?
Yes, you should hold onto your Invisalign aligners even after you shift to a new set in the series. It's possible that your dentist may need a reference for your orthodontic process. Once you are done with Invisalign, we will officially clear you from treatment, allowing you to throw away your aligners. However, many patients keep their final trays in the series to use as a retainer.
