Why Coquitlam Families Choose
Vitacare Dental Centre for General Dentistry

General dentistry is the routine care that keeps small problems from becoming big ones. It's important to choose a provider carefully.
Complete Care Under One Roof
Dr. Alex Wong and Dr. Vanessa Lee treat the whole family at one Coquitlam office, from a child's first cleaning to root canals, extractions, and gum disease treatment. Your care stays coordinated over time.
Dentistry in Your Language
The team speaks Korean, Farsi, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Italian, Russian, Bulgarian, and American Sign Language (ASL). Ask questions and understand your treatment plan in the language you are most comfortable using.
Advanced Training, Digital Tools
Both dentists earned their dental degrees at UBC, and Dr. Wong continues his training through the Kois Center and the AAID Implant Maxicourse. A fully digital office, including CBCT 3D imaging and iTero® scanning, backs that education.
General Dentistry Cost and Financing
Routine exams and cleanings cost far less than the restorative treatment they help you avoid, and catching a small cavity early is usually less expensive than repairing a damaged tooth later. Because every mouth is different, we provide a clear, personalized quote after your exam, before any treatment begins.
Our Coquitlam, BC, office accepts the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) and most major insurance plans, and payment plans can be discussed for certain treatments.

Frequently Asked Questions About
Routine Dental Care
How often should I have a dental checkup?
Most patients benefit from an exam and cleaning every six months. Some conditions, such as gum disease, call for more frequent visits, and your dentist will recommend the schedule that fits your needs. Our office is open late on Wednesday and Thursday and has office hours on Saturday, so regular visits can fit around work and school.
What ages do you treat?
Vitacare Dental Centre treats the whole family: infants and toddlers, younger children, teens, adults, and seniors. A child should have their first visit as soon as their first tooth comes in.
Does insurance cover routine dental care?
Most insurance plans cover preventive care such as exams, cleanings, and X-rays, and many also cover at least some of the cost of fillings and other treatment. Coverage varies by plan, so review your benefits before treatment begins.
What if I get nervous at the dentist?
You are not alone, and the office is designed with comfort in mind. The lounge has a fireplace and a coffee and juice bar, kids have gaming stations, and sedation is available for certain procedures, such as wisdom tooth removal. Tell us how you feel when you book, and we will plan your visit around it.
